Satins and Silkie
Who doesn’t love a Silkie/Satin?!
We first started with Silkie/Satins back in Connecticut in 2020 when we initially got into owning poultry.
Nowadays we still have them, but we don’t breed them as in depth towards SOP as our other breeds. We figure there are plenty of top notch Silkie/Satin breeders out there who do breed toward SOP that we would just provide Silkie/Satins to those who were just looking for cute pet chickens! This means that our Silkie/Satin chicks are considered “Pet Quality”
We believed our pen was Blue, Black and Splash BUT our new rooster showed us this hatch season that he is clearly the son of our previous Partridge female (who was rehomed last year) and our previous Splash rooster. Making him a Blue Partridge.
This has produced Grey, Moorhead, Silver Partridge, Blue, Black and Splash. It has been VERY interesting and fun seeing the variety of babies we have hatched this past season! When you purchase chicks from us there is no guarantee of us knowing their color 100%.

We keep a small flock of Satin/Silkie which means it might be harder to fill hatching egg orders if the ladies are broody, which they are the most broody breed. If we are unable to fill your hatching egg order we will contact you
*MUST add Shipping material fee to your order in order for order to be fulfilled
*Shipped chicks require a minimum of 10 chicks. You can mix and match with any of the breeds to get to a total of 10 chicks
*Maximum of 35 chicks can be shipped
*We cannot determine if the chick will be Silkie or Satin at hatch. It takes about 1-2 weeks to see what the feather type will be
*All day old chicks are sold UNSEXED
*We do NOT vaccinate our chicks

Please keep in mind, Silkie/Satin are the broodiest breed known to man. We will only mark hatching eggs available as long as we are getting eggs constantly from our ladies and they aren’t going broody constantly
All are collected within 2-3 days. They are labeled and candled before packaging them. While we collect we store the eggs at room temp, unwashed and facing pointy side down in an egg flat.
We can ship up to 2 dozen eggs in one box. Eggs are shipped with great care in foam, bubble wrap and egg flats. An instruction sheet is also provided along with your approved NPIP form.
Shipping is included in the price and all orders will be shipped through UPS unless you are unable to receive UPS deliveries in your location. Once shipped we will email you with the tracking number
