Blue Black Splash Polish
Solid Blue, Black and Splash are not colors that are recognized in large fowl Polish. We came across solid blue and black in our first year on the farmstead in 2021. They are not the same as white crested blue or white crested black. These colors are not common and more difficult to find.
This is considered a “Project Pen”. A project pen is when a color that is not common or doesn’t exist is being worked on. Every year we keep the best looking birds to use for the following season. That being said because this is a project pen there will be imperfections with color from time to time.
We always keep a frizzle male over smooth females. This means there is a 50/50 chance that your chicks will be frizzle or smooth. This can’t be determined until 2 weeks of age.
Our polish are Large Fowl
Our breeding flock can tolerate the extremely hot summers here in Tennessee. We are pleasantly surprised and proud of their hardiness.
We highly recommend that Polish only be housed with other Polish. This is due to the fact they tend to get bullied because of their beautiful crests.

Black X Black = 100% Black
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash
Blue X Blue = 25% Black, 50% Blue, 25% Splash
Blue X Black = 50% Black, 50% Blue
Black X Splash = 100% Blue
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue, 50% Splash
*Local Pick up requires a minimum of 5 chicks. You can mix or match with any of the breeds we have.
*Shipped chicks require a minimum of 10 chicks. You can mix and match with any of the breeds to get to a total of 10 chicks
*Maximum of 35 chicks can be shipped
*These chicks have a 50% chance of being Frizzle. Frizzle cannot be determined until at least 1-2 weeks old
*All day old chicks are sold UNSEXED
*We do NOT vaccinate our chicks

Our BBS Polish pen is a project pen. The goal is to breed Solid Blue, Solid Black and Splash (No White Crests) We do rotate roosters throughout the year. We will always update the website letting you know who we have in with the ladies and what to expect for babies. At the moment we have a Smooth Solid Black rooster in with our ladies. You will hatch Blue and Black chicks only.
All are collected within 2-3 days. They are labeled and candled before packaging them. While we collect we store the eggs at room temp, unwashed and facing pointy side down in an egg flat.
We can ship up to 2 dozen eggs in one box. Eggs are shipped with great care in foam, bubble wrap and egg flats. An instruction sheet is also provided along with your approved NPIP form.
Shipping is included in the price and all orders will be shipped through UPS unless you are unable to receive UPS deliveries in your location. Once shipped we will email you with the tracking number
